EMDR Consultation for Therapists

For therapists working toward EMDRIA certification or seeking ongoing case support.

Does This Sounds Like You?

  • You're in the middle of a case and something's not working — the client isn't progressing, you're not sure what's blocking them, and you're second-guessing yourself

  • You finished your EMDR basic training, but now you're sitting with real clients and realizing training didn't prepare you for this

  • You need consultation hours for EMDRIA certification, but finding a consultant who's actually available (and affordable) feels impossible

  • You have questions you're embarrassed to ask — things you feel like you "should" know by now

  • You're working with a complex presentation (chronic pain, dissociation, parts, medical trauma) and want guidance from someone who's been there

  • You want a consultant who will actually *help* you think through cases — not just evaluate you or make you feel inadequate

You're not alone. Most EMDR therapist has been there — including me.

Consultation should be a space where you can bring your real questions, your stuck cases, and your uncertainties — and leave feeling clearer and more confident.

Consultation to Support Your EMDR Practice

Whether you're working toward EMDRIA certification or want support with challenging cases, I offer flexible, individualized consultation to help you grow as an EMDR clinician.

I know what it's like to sit with a stuck case and wonder "Am I doing this right?" I know the gap between what you learned in training and what you encounter in the room. And I know how valuable it is to have someone in your corner who can help you think it through.

Consultation gives you:

  • A space to process your cases without judgment

  • Fresh perspectives on what might be stuck and why

  • Practical strategies you can use in your next session

  • Confidence that you're on the right track (or clarity about what to try differently)

Who this is for?

I work with therapists who:

  • Have completed EMDR basic training (EMDRIA-approved or equivalent)

  • Are working toward EMDRIA certification and need consultation hours

  • Want ongoing case consultation support (even if not pursuing certification)

  • Have an active caseload with EMDR cases to discuss

  • Want a consultant who specializes in chronic pain, complex presentations, or parts work

EMDRIA Certification Note:

As a Consultant-in-Training (CIT), I can provide up to 15 of the 20 required consultation hours for EMDRIA certification. The remaining 5 hours must come from an EMDRIA Approved Consultant.

What's Included

60-minute consultation sessions online

Email support between sessions for brief questions

Documentation for EMDRIA certification requirements

Flexible scheduling through my online booking system — book when you're ready, no rigid timeline

Letter documenting hours at completion (or upon request) for your EMDRIA application

My Consultation Style

Supportive and flexible. I meet you where you are.

I don't follow a rigid structure because every therapist's learning needs are different. Some consultees want help with a specific stuck case. Others want to build skills in a particular area. Some just want a sounding board as they develop their clinical style.

What to expect:

A collaborative space where you can bring your real questions and challenges

No need to perform or have it all figured out

Practical, actionable guidance you can use right away

Honest feedback delivered with respect and encouragement

I won't:

Make you feel stupid for asking "basic" questions

Rigidly enforce one way of doing EMDR

Spend the whole session lecturing instead of helping with your cases

What I Bring to Consultation

I maintain an active clinical practice, which keeps my consultation grounded in real-world challenges rather than just theory. I know what it's like to sit with difficult cases — because I'm doing it too.

My clinical specialties:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Chronic pain (integrating PRT + EMDR)

  • IFS and ego state approaches with EMDR

  • Anxiety and panic

What this means for you:

I can help you think through cases involving early intervention, complex trauma, chronic pain, dissociation, parts work, and more — not just straightforward single-incident PTSD. If you're working with presentations that feel "outside the box," I've probably trained in something relevant.

Why Work With Me?

I remember the learning curve.

Sitting with my first complex cases, wondering if I was doing it right. Even with years of EMDR experience behind me, I haven't forgotten what that felt like. And I'm still actively learning — taking advanced trainings, getting my own consultation, refining my skills. I think that's what makes me a better consultant: enough experience to guide you, and enough humility to know I'm still growing too.

I specialize in the complicated stuff.

I have specific training in integrating parts work with EMDR — both IFS-informed approaches and ego state therapy. If you're working with clients who have protective parts showing up in processing, or you want to think through how to incorporate parts language into your EMDR work, that's something I can help with. I'm also comfortable with standard trauma and PTSD cases — the work that makes up most EMDR caseloads.

My services are affordable.

At $100/session (with bundle discounts available), my rates are accessible for therapists building their practices. I believe good consultation shouldn't be financially out of reach.

I won't waste your time.

I'm practical and direct. We'll focus on what's most useful for you — not on rigid agendas or unnecessary formalities.

I actually like doing consultation.

Some consultants offer it as a side thing. For me, helping other therapists grow is genuinely fulfilling. I want you to succeed.

How It Works

1. Book a Free Discovery Call (15 minutes)

We'll discuss your needs, answer questions, and make sure we're a good fit. No pressure — this is just a conversation.

2. Choose Your Format

Book sessions as needed (pay-as-you-go), or purchase a bundle for savings and commitment. Most consultees pursuing certification start with a 10 or 15-session bundle.

3. Schedule Flexibly

Book sessions through my online scheduler at times that work for you. Monthly is common, but we go at your pace. Some consultees come weekly during intensive periods; others come every 6-8 weeks.

4. Bring Your Cases

Come prepared with cases you want to discuss, questions you're wrestling with, or skills you want to develop. I'll send you a brief prep form before each session.

5. Get Documentation

I provide documentation of your consultation hours for EMDRIA certification. At completion, you'll receive a letter summarizing your hours for your application.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. These hours satisfy any EMDR consultation requirement (basic-training, renewal, or general skill-building)

  • You're still welcome! Many therapists seek consultation for ongoing case support, professional development, or guidance with specific populations — not just certification hours. If you want to get better at EMDR, consultation helps.

  • As a Consultant-in-Training (CIT), I can provide up to 15 of your 20 required consultation hours. The remaining 5 hours must come from an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. Many consultees work with me for the first 15 hours, then find an Approved Consultant for the final 5.

  • Absolutely. Many therapists come with a specific case they're struggling with — a client who isn't progressing, an abreaction that scared them, a presentation they've never seen before. We can focus a session (or several) on working through it. You don't need to be pursuing certification to get case consultation.

  • Come prepared with:

    • A case (or cases) you want to discuss (de-identified)

    • Specific questions or challenges you're facing

    • Any relevant context (your conceptualization, what you've tried, what's not working)

If needed, I can send you a brief prep form before each session to help you organize your thoughts.

  • I promise you, I've heard it all — and I've asked some of those same questions myself. Consultation is supposed to be a learning space, not a performance. There are no stupid questions. The only way to get better is to ask.

  • Both can provide consultation, but:

    • CIT (Consultant-in-Training): Can provide up to 15 of the 20 required hours for certification. Currently completing their own consultant training.

    • Approved Consultant: Can provide all 20 hours. Has completed the full consultant pathway.

Working with a CIT is often more affordable and can be just as valuable — you just need to get your final 5 hours elsewhere. Many therapists prefer this approach.

  • Cancellation

    • 48-hour notice required for cancellations

    • Late cancellation (less than 48 hours): 50% of session fee

    • No-show: 50% of session fee

    Late Arrival

15 minutes late with no notice = considered a no-show (50% fee charged)

    Session Validity

    • Bundle sessions valid for 18 months from purchase date

    • Unused sessions may be transferred to another therapist with advance notice

    Refunds

    • All purchases are non-refundable

    • Life happens — if you experience genuine hardship, let's talk

  • Not currently — I offer individual consultation only. This allows for more personalized attention and flexibility. I may add group options in the future.
